LiveTyping.comI am a cartoonist who loves to draw and cosplay!
I LOVE cartoons, and always will. I'm also an artist (of the "kartoon persuasion" meaning I draw mostly cartoons or cartoon-style. Drawing still life and sunsets doesn't do it for me. It's gotta move, fly, laugh, or bump into things! LOL!
I've been drawing since the age of 5 years old when my mother brought home an old high school textbook she found on the ground on the way home from the store. My first drawings were of bunnies with little heads and big round bodies! I'd give anything to have that book in my hands again. After I filled up that text book with my horrible bunnies, I'd draw on anything I could get my hands on. I remember using the stock market pages to draw on, paper bags....anything! The only art teachers I've ever had was the Saturday morning cartoons. I believe my first influence regarding my "style" was Hanna-Barbera. Old school, but very effective! Disney is definitely squeezed in there too! I used to tell my mom that one day I want to draw Mickey Mouse (as my job) She laughed and told me that someone else was drawing him!
My dream job would have been able to do animation at Disney, H-B or Warner. But just to learn to animate something well would be the frosting on the cake for me. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely go into animation. Bringing a flat drawing to life? Yeah.....
